How to Be a Dandy in the Age of Mass Culture

The aspect of Rotterdam ballroom scene that touches the most is not expressive movement or festive abundance, but a solid support system, a safe platform for queer bodies to explore their sexuality and gender, as well as a healing power of collective goal that for me and many other people has worked as a liberating force. What I want to emphasize is vogueing has always been a protest, a form of queer resistance against patriarchal norms, and these struggles and triumphs must be honored. My contribution to this cause involves documenting and preserving photographic footage.
