In Her Kiss I Taste the Revolution
Through photography, I explore the dynamic between pleasure and power within a political framework. Following the principles of pleasure activism, I seek liberation in the sphere of sexuality. My lens captures intimacy in the underground queer and BDSM scenes, using black and white film to narrate a visual story, a tale about love, struggle, pain, and desire, reflecting on the profound spectrum of human experiences. By active participation and research, I delve into methods of emancipating both individuals and communities from the capitalist ideals of body and gender. I strongly believe that queer venues do not only celebrate gay history but are places where people reclaim agency over their bodies and minds, through relatability, recognition, and collective goal. Thus, visually inspired by Rüdiger Trautsch, Libuše Jarcovjáková, and Karlheinz Weinberger, I document these moments of vulnerability and resilience. At heart, this collection stands as a tribute to the complex human journey and a unified resistance against heteronormative oppression.
